This case was commisioned as a gift. I left behind the latching and side bracing mechanisms from my previous 2 designs (PC1 / PC2) and utilized a central latch and integrated lid bracing into the base and the feet. It's a simple design with simple materials. The framing is white pine, the paneling is 1/8" baltic birch, and the feet and handle are purple heart. My friend, who commisioned the case, is an exceptional artist. She added her touch by inking a poem to the inside of the lid.
