The previous owners of my friend's house added a second entry into their basement that was not faring very well. The plexiglass window was tattered; the "door" was nothing more than a section of siding held together with a couple pieces of rotting pine, attached to the house by three rusty cabinet hinges; and the framework was rotten from either water of termite damage.
I made it right. In addition to rebuilding the framework and installing a new window, I made a custom door with poplar and re-utlized the siding material so that it would match the house.
